Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Project Manager to lead high-priority initiatives within Market Operations in Tempe. You will collaborate across HR, IT, engineering, procurement, and operations to drive complex programs, deliver measurable outcomes, and optimize performance.

You will analyze data, define goals, manage scope and timelines, and coach teams in modern project management practices while traveling up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years working experience in Project Management, operations, or analytics.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams through Initiation, Design, Planning, Execution and Close phases.
• Experience working across HR, IT/technology, construction, engineering, procurement, and operations to communicate project vision.
• Ability to structure root cause analysis, identify KPIs, and develop effective solutions to operational challenges.
• Strong analytical mindset to transform data into actionable insights and drive strategic decisions.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; SQL/Snowflake knowledge and Tableau familiarity preferred.
• Self-starter with the ability to drive excellence, multitask, and meet high standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple high-priority initiatives and projects by collaborating, communicating and prioritizing across essential stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships and work cross-functionally with partners to support project initiatives.
• Execute full-cycle project management duties to meet goals from definition to close with minimal guidance.
• Leverage analytic skills to measure performance, assess operational performance, and develop data-driven recommendations.
• Navigate ambiguity and structure problem‑solving approaches to meet business needs.
• Dive deep into operations and develop scalable solutions based on Market Operations metrics.
• Identify operational weaknesses and enforce process improvements.
• Use data to inform decisions and provide direction to senior management.
• Train and coach teams on project management methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with stakeholders to communicate portfolio progress across Market Operations.
