Job summary

Local Tampa Small MSP is seeking an IT Operations Engineer for a permanent on-site role in NE Tampa, FL. You will install, configure, and maintain hardware and software to ensure reliable client IT operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in an MSP or similar IT support role with strong Windows/macOS, Office 365, Active Directory and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V). Familiarity with RMM and ticketing tools is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in an MSP or similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Experience with RMM tools and ticketing systems (NinjaRMM, Autotask PSA, ServiceNow, Zendesk).
• Networking: DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, Wi-Fi; Security: firewalls and antivirus; strong troubleshooting and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support to clients, install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
• Respond to escalated tickets quickly to minimize downtime.
• Manage and maintain client networks including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Implement and manage security measures, perform regular security audits and address vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain documented configurations and runbooks.
