Job summary

MTY Group is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join the MTY IT Department in Minnetonka. You will provide end-user hardware, software, and peripheral support, maintain devices, manage tickets, and uphold service levels in a collaborative Help Desk environment.

The role requires strong Windows knowledge, imaging experience, and proactive problem solving. You’ll work with MTY teams to advance IT services and documentation, including self-help guides.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical capacity supporting users and/or projects.
• Expert knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems.
• Experience with end-user hardware from various vendors.
• Familiarity with patch management and device management tools.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP basics.
• Ability to document configurations and create how-to guides.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day technology needs of MTY employees as a Help Desk member.
• Use the ticketing system to process requests, changes, and incidents per procedures.
• Maintain printers and ensure supplies are in stock.
• Support facilities and security devices like badge readers and cameras.
• Keep hardware and software up to date with security patches.
• Assist in managing office systems (Microsoft 365, AD, DNS, DHCP, VPN, AV).
• Collaborate with MTY Help Desk teams for system integration.
• Follow and help define policies; document and implement new ones.
• Maintain asset inventory and work with vendors on issues.
• Create and maintain support documentation and self-service guides.
• Manage assigned projects and report on progress.
• Pursue personal development to improve performance.
