Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC seeks an experienced Senior IT/Technology Project Manager with GIS project experience to lead a large-scale modernization initiative. The role focuses on designing phase completion, business case support, and end-to-end delivery with internal teams and external vendors.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in IT/tech project management, 10+ preferred, and hands-on GIS project leadership, including ArcGIS, platform migrations, or utility GIS environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT/Technology Project Management experience.
• Demonstrated GIS-related technology project experience.
• Proven success delivering large-scale enterprise technology/software projects.
• Experience leading projects from initiation to closeout.
• Experience with enterprise software implementations, upgrades, migrations, or conversions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large-scale GIS technology initiative from design to closeout.
• Assess status, risks, constraints and dependencies; set priorities.
• Develop a realistic implementation roadmap and integrated plan.
• Build resource-loaded schedules with MS Project including milestones.
• Coordinate across GIS, IT, architects, stakeholders, vendors and partners.
• Lead scope, schedule, risk, issue, dependency, resource and escalation management.
• Identify obstacles and drive timely resolution.
• Establish ownership, delivery expectations, and commitments across workstreams.
• Hold vendors and integrators accountable for deliverables and timelines.
• Lead governance within Waterfall SDLC and stage-gate processes.
• Translate GIS/technical info into clear business decisions for executives.
• Provide regular project reporting to leadership and sponsors.
• Support development of business case: scope, timelines, resources, costs.
