Job summary

DIRECTV is seeking a Principal IT Software Engineer 1 to set architectural direction and drive end-to-end solution design across multiple teams and complex systems. This remote role focuses on building the next-generation Customer Experience orchestration platforms centered on AWS, Salesforce, and CRM integrations.

You will mentor engineers, lead architectural reviews, and shape engineering standards while solving high-impact technical problems with executive visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive software engineering experience, including senior/lead technical roles with CCaaS/CX enterprise software experience.
• Experience designing reliable workflows and integrations in major CRMs, especially Salesforce.
• Experience with AWS services and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction at organizational level.

Responsibilities

• Architects and delivers highly complex, cross-system solutions across multiple teams.
• Sets technical direction and establishes standards adopted across the engineering organization.
• Lead development of data pathways between internal and external systems, especially CRM, AI platforms, and APIs.
• Lead architectural reviews and governance forums to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy.
• Drive multi-PI roadmaps and translate business strategy into engineering initiatives.
