Job summary

RTX in Forest, Mississippi, seeks a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to join our onsite team. The role focuses on maintaining compliance with RMF, JSIG, NISPOM and customer directives, reporting to the ISSM to safeguard critical DoD programs.

Key duties include monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and documenting security controls. A Security+ or equivalent certification is expected within six months.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant cybersecurity experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Experience with RMF, JSIG, NISPOM and related regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and delivering information systems security education and awareness.
• Investigating information system security violations and helping prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests within authority.
• Conducting technical and administrative assessments and integrating new cybersecurity processes.
• Supporting creation, review, and update of cybersecurity documentation and other technical writings.
