Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our 100% onsite team in Forest, Mississippi. The role collaborates with the ISSM to ensure adherence to NIST SPs, DAAPM, JSIG, and other directives for NISPOM-compliant operations.

You will lead security assessments, manage documentation, and drive secure coding and configuration practices in a DoD environment. A DoD Secret clearance is required and an IAM Level I certification will be pursued within six months.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, NISPOM, and other security compliance standards.
• Experience in cybersecurity tooling and secure writing/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and delivering information systems security education and awareness.
• Investigating information system security violations and help prepare reports specifying corrective and preventative actions.
• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests.
