Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Senior IP Counsel to advise on intellectual property matters within packaging and specialty plastics. The role involves strategic IP counseling, patent prosecution, licensing, and technology development agreements in a fast-paced, global tech environment.

You will work with business and scientific teams to protect Dow’s intellectual assets while supporting innovation and growth. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or Master of Laws required.
• Minimum of 4 years intellectual property law experience.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide business-minded IP counsel across patents, trade secrets, licensing and technology development.
• Draft and negotiate technology agreements, collaboration and license documents.
• Develop IP strategies to align with business goals and maximize asset value.
• Manage patent portfolios and coordinate with outside counsel.
• Train and educate clients on IP risk mitigation and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovation and growth.
