Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking an AI-forward patent prosecution leader to guide global IP strategy for its cloud-native cybersecurity platform. You will lead a team partnering with Product and Engineering to protect innovations, manage trademarks and copyrights, and modernize IP operations with AI.

This is a prosecution-centered role focused on protecting CrowdStrike's global IP portfolio and strengthening its position in software, AI, and cybersecurity. Remote work is supported in the U.S.

Qualifications

• J.D. and bar membership in the state of residence; USPTO admission required.
• 15+ years of IP experience including team leadership.
• Extensive experience prosecuting software, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity or AI technologies.
• Experience managing global patent portfolios and jurisdictional strategies.
• Knowledge of trademark, copyright and trade secret law.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a global patent prosecution strategy aligned with product roadmap and market indicators.
• Identify mission-critical innovations with Product and Engineering.
• Decisions on filing, continuation, and abandonment based on business value and landscape.
• Use analytics to identify coverage gaps and guide investments for leadership.
• Manage global trademark portfolio and coordination with Marketing and outside counsel.
• Oversee trademark clearances, renewals, and opposition/cancellation proceedings.
• Advise on copyright ownership and protection for software and content assets.
• Develop and maintain copyright policies including OSS usage and external content.
• Provide strategic advice on trade secret protection.
• Support IP licensing, M&A, and third-party demands; manage outside counsel.
• Lead AI-enabled operations and measure operating leverage.
