Job summary

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, seeks an AI-forward patent prosecution leader to guide global IP strategy for its cloud-native platform. Reporting to the VP of Legal, you will lead a team that partners closely with technical leaders to identify mission-critical innovations, strengthen the company's global patent portfolio, oversee broader IP assets, and modernize IP operations.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership; admitted before USPTO.
• 15+ years IP experience including team management.
• Proven ability identifying, prosecuting, and procuring patentable tech in software, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity or AI.
• Experience managing global patent portfolios and jurisdictional strategy.
• Knowledge of trademark, copyright and trade secret law.
• Demonstrated AI fluency in legal/IP workflows and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a global patent prosecution strategy aligned with product roadmap.
• Identify mission-critical innovations with Product and Engineering.
• Make filing, continuation and abandonment decisions based on business value.
• Use analytics to identify gaps, assess portfolio strength, and report to senior leadership.
• Manage trademark portfolio, clearance processes, renewals, and outside counsel.
• Advise on copyright ownership and protection for CrowdStrike assets.
• Develop and maintain copyright policies and trade secret protection.
• Support IP licensing, M&A activities, and third-party demands.
• Manage outside patent counsel and budget; ensure timely, cost-effective output.
• Lead AI-enabled IP operations and govern AI use in workflows.
