Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an AI-forward patent prosecution leader to guide global IP strategy for its cloud-native cybersecurity platform. Reporting to the VP of Legal, you will build and protect CrowdStrike's IP portfolio while modernizing operations with AI.

You will champion an operating model that integrates AI into core IP workflows, supervise a team, and coordinate with Product, Engineering, and outside counsel to optimize protection and value.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership; USPTO registration eligibility.
• 15+ years of IP experience including team management.
• Experience prosecuting intellectual property in software/SaaS/cloud/AI domains.
• Global patent portfolio management including filing strategy and maintenance.
• Trademark, copyright, and trade secret law experience.
• Demonstrated AI fluency in legal workflows and governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a global patent prosecution strategy.
• Identify key innovations with Product and Engineering.
• Make strategic filing, continuation, and abandonment decisions.
• Use portfolio analytics to identify coverage gaps and guide investments.
• Manage global trademark portfolio and jurisdictional filings.
• Oversee trademark clearances for product names and campaigns.
• Advise on copyright ownership, protection, and policy development.
• Provide strategic guidance on trade secret protection.
• Support IP licensing, M&A activities, and external counsel management.
• Manage budgets and outside spend for IP operations.
• Drive AI-enabled operations, governance, and training.
