Job summary

Honigman LLP seeks a Senior Business Development Manager - Intellectual Property in Detroit, DC, or Chicago to lead IP marketing and BD initiatives. You will partner with practice leaders, drive client growth, and shape market visibility for IP and Life Sciences practices.

The role requires strategic thinking, IP knowledge, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset to advance the firm's growth objectives across multiple offices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; professional services experience preferred.
J.D. or MBA is a plus and supports interdisciplinary collaboration.
Deep understanding of IP, patents, trade secrets, litigation and prosecution.

Responsibilities

Lead business development and marketing strategy for IP and Life Sciences groups.
Partner with practice leaders to drive client growth and cross-selling.
Develop collateral, proposals, and marketing content with cross-functional teams.
Track BD activities, measure impact, and report to department leadership.
Identify market opportunities and industry events to raise profile.
