Job summary

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Business Development Manager in a hybrid role based in Denver. You will develop and execute comprehensive BD plans for the IP practice, grow client relationships, and enhance the firm’s market presence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five years of legal marketing experience.
Experience supporting Intellectual Property or similar practice groups preferred.
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with CRM platforms, marketing databases, and other BD technologies.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with IP leadership and marketing to develop strategic business development plans.
Develop and maintain a rolling pipeline of targets and opportunities.
Provide BD coaching in group and one-on-one settings.
Coordinate BD efforts across practices and industries.
Provide IP content and positioning for pitches, proposals, and RFPs.
Lead events, sponsorships, and other marketing/communications activities.
