Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Internal Communications Manager to lead the internal comms strategy for key stakeholder groups, partnering with executives to shape messaging and timing. You will craft and scale communications for a globally distributed, remote workforce using AI-powered tools while maintaining human oversight.

This role sits within Internal Communications and reports to the Director of Internal Communications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in internal, external or corporate communications or a writing-intensive role.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; clarity and brevity.
• Executive presence; experience partnering with senior executives on comms initiatives.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate and improve communications with human oversight.
• Resilience and grit in rapidly changing environments.
• Experience communicating to a distributed remote workforce.
• Highly organized; enjoys roadmapping and planning.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the internal communications strategy for your portfolio of stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on messaging and timing.
• Ensure employees have the information and context they need to do their job.
• Create and improve systems, including AI-powered tools and workflows, that scale communications across a globally distributed, remote workforce.
• Measure the effectiveness of communications programs and use data for continuous improvement.
• Develop a deep understanding of Coinbase's mission, strategy, and culture to reinforce in all communications.
• Proactively identify and implement AI-native approaches to internal communications, from content creation to feedback loops.
• Support and execute org-wide live events (draft talking points, advise on event flow, prepare speakers).
• Collaborate with Internal & External Comms teams to drive proactive/reactive communications and manage internal issues.
