Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Internal Communications Manager to shape the employee experience and reinforce mission, strategy, and culture in an AI-native company. The role is an individual contributor reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, partnering with executives to tell powerful stories and drive change.

You will own internal comms strategy for a stakeholder portfolio, scale communications for a global remote workforce, and measure program impact using data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in internal, external or corporate communications, media/journalism, or other writing-intensive roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communications, clarity and brevity.
• Executive presence with experience partnering with senior leaders on comms initiatives.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate and improve communications with human oversight.
• Resilience to rapid organizational change and shifting priorities.
• Experience communicating to a highly distributed, remote workforce.
• Highly organized with roadmapping and planning skills.
• Able to generate ideas and implement them, balancing speed and quality.
• Enthusiasm for crypto and willingness to develop fluency in the space.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the internal communications strategy for your portfolio of stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on messaging, approach, timing, etc.
• Ensure employees have the information and context they need to do their job.
• Create and improve systems, including AI-powered tools and workflows, that scale communications across a globally distributed, remote workforce.
• Measure the effectiveness of communications programs, leveraging data for continuous improvement.
• Develop a deep understanding of the company mission, strategy, and culture to reinforce in all communication.
• Proactively identify and implement AI-native approaches to internal communications, from content creation and personalization to measurement and feedback loops.
• Support and execute org or company-wide live events (i.e. drafting talking points, advising on event flow and structure, preparing speakers, etc.).
• Partner with your Internal & External Comms teammates to drive proactive/reactive communications and coordinate internal issues management.
