Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee the completion of assigned construction projects and manage daily job-site operations. You will supervise superintendents and direct labor, coordinate with project managers, and ensure timely procurement and safe execution of work on site.

The role requires extensive commercial construction experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a track record of delivering projects on schedule and to spec.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field or equivalent.
• Fifteen years of commercial construction experience and/or education.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong administrative and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of construction laws and practices.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan procedures and staffing for each construction phase.
• Develop and use look-ahead schedules to assess progress.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to fit work schedules.
• Coordinate meetings with Project Manager and subcontractors to align scope and schedule.
• Ensure safety policies and quality standards are consistently applied.
• Inspect ongoing work to confirm it meets specifications and schedule.
