Rivian seeks a Staff Design & Release Engineer to lead interior trim system development and end-to-end engineering release for vehicle interiors. You will own design intent, packaging, appearance, ergonomics, cost, and timing to deliver robust production-ready solutions.

The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years in automotive interiors, strong CAD/engineering release experience, and a proven ability to drive cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years in automotive engineering, vehicle interiors, trims systems, or related discipline.
• Experience leading design and release of automotive interior components or systems from concept to production.
• Strong understanding of interior-trim construction, materials, gaps, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering work in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication, including with senior leaders and suppliers.
• Ownership and follow-through across multiple priorities and aggressive timelines.

Responsabilidades

• Own design and release activities from concept through production launch and post-launch issue resolution.
• Develop and manage system-level requirements, interfaces, and tolerances.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with Industrial Design, Packaging, Ergonomics, and Manufacturing.
• Translate vehicle-level requirements into manufacturable interior-trim solutions.
• Drive issue resolution using first-principles engineering and data-driven analysis.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and decision forums; communicate recommendations clearly.
• Create and maintain release deliverables: CAD, drawings, specifications, GD&T, BOMs, change docs.
