Rivian Automotive seeks a Staff Design & Release Engineer to own interior trim design and release from concept through production for vehicle interiors. You will partner across Industrial Design, Packaging, Ergonomics, and Manufacturing to deliver robust, manufacturable trim solutions.

The role requires 7–10+ years in automotive interior development, strong CAD/GD&T experience, and a proven ability to solve complex problems with clear communication.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in automotive interior engineering or product development.
• Experience leading interior design and release from concept to production.
• Strong understanding of interior trim construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Responsabilidades

• Own design and release activities from concept through production launch and issue resolution.
• Develop system-level requirements, interfaces, tolerances, and BOMs.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with Industrial Design, Packaging, Ergonomics, BIW, and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Translate design intent into manufacturable, serviceable trim solutions.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and decision-making forums; communicate recommendations clearly.
• Create and maintain engineering release deliverables and validation plans.
