Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Exterior Trim Engineer in Illinois to join a dynamic team responsible for launching and refining exterior systems from prototype through production. You will be the first contact for build issues, collaborating with design engineers and plant teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, CAD design skills, and knowledge of GD&T.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field +2 years in an engineering role related to Exterior Trim manufacturing equipment and processes preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
CAD design experience for Exterior Trim commodities including GD&T/variation management in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Support launch activities and production ramp across Exterior Trim systems.
Be the first point of contact for build issues and resolve them, coordinating with design engineers and Managers.
Deliver Exterior Trim engineering requirements from prototype to production.
Represent Exterior Trim Engineering with the plant team during launch and maintain inter-departmental relationships.
Apply engineering knowledge to resolve problems during prototype and production builds.
Validate requirements and ensure changes to specifications are verified.
Drive continuous improvement with focus on quality, cost, and delivery.
