Job summary

Rivian’s Cockpit and Trim Engineering team is seeking an Interior Engineer to help shape innovation and drive high-performing interior solutions from concept to production. You will design Class A trim components, model them in Catia, and develop 2D drawings while collaborating with designers to meet style, weight, and cost targets.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, automotive experience, and a hands-on approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering minimum.
• 2+ years of automotive experience.
• Class A molding / compression molding / wrapping experience.
• Catia V5/V6 experience including Sketcher, GSD, and part workbenches preferred.
• Knowledge of injection molding, thermal forming, 3D printing, and wrap processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and model Class A plastic and soft trim components for interiors.
• Use Catia V6/3D Experience to create high-quality 3D data and 2D drawings.
• Collaborate with studio designers to align with design themes.
• Own quality, cost, weight, timing, and engineering integrity of interior trim parts.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet program goals.
• Create BOMs and manage changes using Enovia.
• Develop DFMEAs with cross-functional teams and cascade dependencies.
