Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a seasoned engineer for the Product Development division focused on Soft Trim components. You will design, validate, and release interior systems across programs, managing costs and ensuring quality at assembly plants.

You will collaborate with design, validation, and launch teams to meet regulatory and Ford specifications. The role requires 3+ years in automotive cockpit/trim, strong CAD tool experience, and a track record of delivering design improvements that

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automotive cockpit and trim applications.
• 3+ years of launch and root cause analysis with rapid corrective actions.
• Experience with design tools and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to compile data into clear reports for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and release interior systems for programs.
• Manage costs for future and current applications.
• Monitor interior system development per benchmarks.
• Translate requirements into engineering targets and specs.
• Oversee supplier progress and address product feedback.
• Ensure parts incorporation at the assembly plant.
• Support production quality and manufacturing issue resolution.
• Seek design improvements to optimize quality, cost, and weight.
• Collaborate with Design, Validation, and Launch throughout programs.
