Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Manager to lead complex commercial claims engagements across property, BI, cyber and other lines. You will work with forensic accountants, valuation professionals, attorneys, risk managers, brokers, and insurers to develop and execute claim strategies and manage engagement teams.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and external partners, and travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, risk management, insurance, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in insurance claims, forensic accounting, dispute advisory, consulting, or related field.
• Experience managing complex commercial insurance claims or insurance-related consulting engagements.
• Strong understanding of property damage, business interruption, extra expense, cyber, builder's risk, or other commercial insurance claims.
• Achieved a professional designation, such as CPA, CFA, CFE

Responsibilities

• Lead complex insurance claims engagements and supervise engagement teams.
• Develop claim methodologies and prepare submissions that withstand insurer scrutiny.
• Coordinate with clients, brokers, insurers, adjusters, attorneys, and engineers to drive engagements.
• Travel to client sites and maintain engagement timelines and budgets.
