Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced insurance claims manager to lead complex recovery engagements for Fortune 500 clients across disaster scenarios, including property, BI, cyber, and large‑loss claims.

You will oversee teams, work with policyholders, brokers, insurers and forensic accountants to maximize financial recovery, travel to client sites, and deliver strategic claim solutions in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of commercial insurance claims experience.
• Experience as Property/General/Executive General/ Large Loss/ Complex Claims Specialist or similar.
• Strong understanding of commercial property, business interruption, cyber, builder's risk, or other first‑party claims.
• Experience managing large and complex losses involving multiple stakeholders.
• Professional designation such as CPCU, CPA, CFE, CFF is preferred.
• Strong project management and client relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading teams.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial, economic and strategic advice to clients with complex disaster recovery and insurance claims.
• Read, summarize and advise on multiple insurance policies and coverages.
• Develop claim strategies based on policy and claim type.
• Advise clients throughout recovery, exploring all available coverages.
• Track and place costs within policy parameters for claim preparation.
