Job summary

EY's Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice seeks an experienced insurance claims Manager in the US to lead complex recovery engagements. You will guide clients through multimillion-dollar claims, supervise teams, and liaise with policyholders, brokers, insurers and experts to maximize recovery.

The role requires travel to client sites and a hybrid work model; strong project management, client relations and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Economics, or related field is required.
• 7+ years of commercial insurance claims experience is required.
• Experience as Property Adjuster, General Adjuster, Executive General Adjuster, Large Loss Adjuster, Complex Claims Specialist, BI Adjuster, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of commercial property, BI, cyber, builder's risk or other first-party claims.
• Experience managing large and complex losses with multiple stakeholders.
• Professional designation such as CPCU, CPA, CFE, CFF is preferred.
• Strong project management and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading teams.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation; driver's license recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial, economic and strategic advice to clients with disaster recovery and insurance claims.
• Read, summarize and advise on insurance policies and coverages.
• Develop claim strategies based on policy and claim type.
• Advise clients through full recovery process and explore coverages.
• Track and allocate costs within policy parameters for claim prep.
