Job summary

Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to bridge product decisions and engineering across a remote-first business. You will own requirements for new products, state launches, endorsements, and rating updates, coordinating with Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product to ensure correct deployment.

You’ll translate insurance concepts into structured business and functional requirements, build user stories and acceptance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a business analyst or similar role, including 3+ years in P&C insurance.
• Experience translating insurance product concepts into structured requirements for Engineering and Tech Product.
• Working knowledge of the insurance product lifecycle and configuration in policy systems.
• Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and current- and future-state documents.
• Experience partnering with Engineering or IT in an Agile delivery environment, including UAT and implementation validation.
• Ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into clearly documented decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, coverage changes, forms, rating updates, and compliance.
• Translate business decisions on products, filings, forms, endorsements, and state configurations into clear requirements and specifications.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, business review, and beta-validation before broader releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and maintain alignment from decision to deployment.
• Document current-state processes, define future-state workflows, and manage changes during delivery.
