Kin Insurance seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate insurance product decisions into systems that function as intended. You’ll bridge Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, and Engineering to define build-ready requirements.

In this role, you’ll own the requirements lifecycle for product launches and state configurations, lead UAT, and ensure alignment from decision to deployment in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a business or systems analyst, with 3+ years in P&C insurance.
• Translate insurance product concepts into structured business and functional requirements for engineering.
• Knowledge of the insurance product lifecycle and policy administration systems.
• Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, decision tables, and data mappings.
• Experience partnering with Engineering/IT in Agile or iterative delivery; drive clarifications, UAT, and validation.
• Bonus: policy administration systems knowledge; proficiency with Jira/Confluence/Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, coverage changes, forms, rating updates, and compliance.
• Partner with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Tech Product, and Engineering to gather inputs and maintain alignment.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and product reviews to ensure correct implementation before broader release.
• Document current and future-state processes, define workflows, and manage changes during delivery.
• Build user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria that enable accurate development and traceability.
