Job summary

Kin Insurance seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into systems that work as intended. The role spans insurance product development, operations, and tech delivery, requiring deep P&C knowledge and early clarity on questions.

You’ll own the requirements lifecycle across state launches, forms, and rating rules, partnering with multiple teams to ensure accurate engineering handoffs and traceable decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a business/systems analyst role, with P&C insurance experience.
• Ability to translate insurance concepts into structured requirements for engineering.
• Knowledge of the insurance product lifecycle and policy systems.
• Experience producing user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in Agile or iterative delivery with clear decision documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and forms.
• Translate insurance concepts into clear business and functional specs for Engineering.
• Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Ops, and Tech Product.
• Lead UAT planning, scenarios, and validation to ensure correct implementation.
• Document current and future state processes and manage changes across delivery.
