Job summary

Kin Insurance seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into precise, implementation-ready requirements for Engineering and Tech Product. You will guide the requirements lifecycle across product launches, endorsements, and policy changes with a strong emphasis on accuracy and alignment.

You will work with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, and Tech teams to ensure clear, testable specifications and successful deployments

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a BA, systems BA, or similar role, including 3+ years in P&C insurance.
• Translating insurance product concepts into structured requirements for Engineering & Tech Product.
• Knowledge of the insurance product lifecycle and configuration in policy systems.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and docs.
• Partnering with Engineering/IT in an Agile delivery environment, including UAT.
• Synthesis of input from multiple stakeholders into clear decisions.
• Bonus: knowledge of policy administration systems and rating/forms rules.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and form changes.
• Translate business decisions into clear requirements and functional specs for Engineering and Tech Product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, resolve ambiguity, and maintain alignment.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and beta-validation to ensure correct implementation.
• Document current and future-state processes, data mappings, and requirements changes.
• Identify gaps and edge cases across rating, policy administration, billing, claims, and reporting.
