Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to turn product decisions into build-ready requirements for P&C insurance products across multiple states. You will translate business goals into actionable specs and drive alignment among product, actuarial, underwriting, compliance, claims, operations, and engineering teams.

This remote-first role emphasizes clear documentation, UAT leadership, and scalable processes as Kin expands its offerings and launches in new states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BA, systems BA, incl. 3+ years in P&C insurance
• Translate insurance concepts into structured requirements for Eng/Tech Product
• Knowledge of policy administration lifecycle and production config
• Produce user stories, acceptance criteria, flows, decision tables, data mappings
• Experience in Agile delivery with requirements clarification, UAT, validation
• Track record synthesizing stakeholder input into clear decisions
• Bonus: knowledge of policy administration systems
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet or similar

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, coverage changes, forms, rating updates, and compliance
• Coordinate with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Eng and Tech Product
• Translate business decisions into clear requirements and functional specs
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and product review to confirm changes
• Document current-state and future-state workflows and manage changes
• Identify gaps, edge cases, dependencies, compliance requirements before development
• Build user stories, process flows, data mappings, and acceptance criteria for developers
