Job summary

Kin Insurance seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into systems that work as intended. You will own the requirements lifecycle across new products, state launches, and coverage changes, collaborating with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product.

You will document current-state processes, define future-state workflows, and guide the team from discovery to implementation while ensuring alignment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or similar role.
• 3+ years in P&C insurance translating concepts into requirements.
• Translate insurance concepts into structured requirements for Engineering/Tech Product.
• Experience in Agile or iterative delivery environments and UAT.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet or similar tools.
• Ability to synthesize inputs from multiple stakeholders into decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and coverage changes.
• Be the go-to resource for teams that depend on accurate, implementation-ready requirements.
• Translate business decisions into clear business and functional specifications for Eng/Tech Product.
• Lead collaboration across Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, and Engineering.
• Document current and future-state workflows and manage changes through delivery.
• Develop user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria with traceability.
