Job summary

Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to bridge insurance product decisions and engineering delivery. You’ll own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, coverage changes, and policy settings, collaborating with Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst or systems analyst.
• 3+ years in P&C insurance and product development experience.
• Translating insurance concepts into structured requirements for Engineering and Tech Product.
• Experience producing User Stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and documentation.
• Experience in Agile or iterative delivery environments with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of policy administration systems and how rating, forms, and eligibility are configured.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, coverage changes, forms, rating updates, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product to define build needs and verify delivery.
• Translate business decisions into clear requirements and functional specs for Engineering.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and product review to ensure correct implementation before release.
• Draft and maintain current-state and future-state process workflows and traceability from decisions to deployment.
