Job summary

Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into precise, implementable requirements that teams can build against. You will bridge Insurance Product, Actuarial, Compliance, and Engineering to ensure accurate, compliant state launches and policy changes.

You’ll craft user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria to guide development and testing. The role is remote-first in the United States, with collaboration across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a business/systems analyst, with 3+ years in P&C insurance.
• Translate insurance concepts into structured requirements for engineering.
• Know policy administration systems and how rating/forms are configured.
• Experience with Agile delivery, requirements clarifications, and UAT.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements lifecycle for new products and state launches.
• Translate decisions into clear business requirements for engineering.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, validation, and reviews.
• Document current and future state workflows and keep traceability.
• Identify gaps and downstream impacts before development begins.
