Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to lead design and optimization of control systems for industrial and commercial facilities. You will develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information in compliance with codes and standards.

You’ll work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, mentor junior engineers, and support startup activities on projects near client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other related engineering or technical field.
• At least 6 Years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
• Demonstrated experience in mission critical control systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA systems, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, including development of P&IDs.
• Size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information while ensuring codes and standards compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete facilities and provide on-site startup support.
