Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician III to deliver high quality patient-focused services in the Inpatient Pharmacy. The role includes training and oversight of Technicians I & II and requires strong skills in communication and pharmaceutical calculations.

Qualified candidates must be registered with the MA Board of Pharmacy, hold national CPT or exCPT certification, and have at least four years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; higher degrees preferred.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy.
• Must have national certification (CPT) from Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam of Certified Pharmacy Techs (exCPT)
• Four years of related experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills; strong pharmaceutical calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality patient-focused pharmacy services.
• Provide training and oversight for Pharmacy Technicians I & II.
• Maintain competency across all areas of outpatient pharmacy operations.
• Inpatient requirements include compounding Pediatric IV and Chemo IV.
