Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Boston is seeking an Inpatient Certified Pharmacy Technician II to contribute to both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. You will prepare and distribute sterile IV and non-sterile medications, maintain sterile areas, operate automated systems, and uphold accurate pharmacy records.

Under supervision of pharmacists, you will train staff, document steps, and assist in compounding per formulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician registration or MA Pharmacy Intern License required.
• PTCB or exCPT certification required; Pharmacy Interns may be waived from experience.
• Inpatient: 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred; sterile compounding experience preferred.
• Outpatient/Retail: minimum 2 years of outpatient pharmacy tech experience required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: prepare/distribute sterile and non-sterile medications, maintain sterile areas, operate automated systems, ensure accurate records.
• Outpatient/Retail: dispense prescriptions, perform inventory control, deliver prescriptions to discharge patients, provide customer service.
