Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalency, MA Pharmacy Technician registration or internship license, and 1–2 years of experience. PTCB or exCPT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalency.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy or have a MA Pharmacy Intern License.
• Must be certified by PTCB or exCPT (in MA).
• 1-2 years of pharmacy technician experience required; sterile IV compounding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute sterile and non-sterile medications.
• Maintain sterile product areas and inventory.
• Operate pharmacy automated technology systems.
• Perform daily quality assurance monitoring and maintain records.
• Provide customer service and support training staff.
