Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks an Inpatient/Outpatient Pharmacy Technician II to provide comprehensive technician services for sterile and non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision. The role spans inpatient and outpatient/Retail settings, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and patient-focused care.

The position requires a high school diploma and active Massachusetts registration or intern license, plus a Board-approved certification such as PTCB or exCPT.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or state accepted equivalency.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Board of Pharmacy or have a Massachusetts Pharmacy Intern License.
• Must be Certified by a Board approved credentialing program, PTCB or exCPT. Pharmacy Interns are not required to hold CPhT certification.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacy Technician II provides services for sterile and non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Operates automated technology systems, maintains inventory and records, and performs QA monitoring.
• Distributes prescriptions and delivers patient-focused service while documenting required steps as directed by the pharmacist.
• Assists in training staff under supervision of Pharmacy Managers and Supervisors.
