Job summary

BMCHS in Massachusetts is hiring an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II to provide services including preparing and distributing sterile and non-sterile medications, maintaining sterile areas, operating automated systems, managing inventory, and ensuring patient-focused service under pharmacist supervision.

Requires a high school diploma, Massachusetts registration or Pharmacy Intern License, and PTCB or exCPT certification; 1-2 years experience with sterile IV compounding preferred; compensation

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma (or state accepted equivalency).
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Board of Pharmacy or have a Massachusetts Pharmacy Intern License.
• Must be Certified by a Board approved credentialing program, PTCB or exCPT. Pharmacy Interns are not required to hold CPhT certification.
• Work requires 1-2 years pharmacy technician experience. Prior experience with sterile (IV) compounding is preferred.
• Pharmacy students who have completed 2 years of education in an approved college/school of pharmacyare eligible for pharmacy internship, and may be waived for the required experience.
