Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy or have a Massachusetts Pharmacy Intern License.
• Certified by a Board approved credentialing program (PTCB or exCPT). Pharmacy Interns may be exempt from CPhT.
• Experience: 1–2 years pharmacy technician experience; IV compounding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile (IV) and non-sterile medications.
• Maintain sterile product areas and inventory.
• Operate automated pharmacy systems and document required steps.
• Train staff under supervisors' direction.
