Valleywise Health System is seeking an experienced Coder III to assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for facility inpatient records. You will work across maternity, newborns, pediatrics, behavioral health, ICU, and surgical cases while meeting productivity and quality benchmarks.

Requirements include an associate degree in health information technology or related field, a CPC/COC/CCS/CCS-P/CIC certification, and 6 years of hospital-based coding experience.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in health information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Determine accurate ICD-10 diagnoses (CM) and ICD-10 Procedure (PCS) codes from medical records for facility inpatient accounts.
• Code across maternity, newborns, pediatrics, behavioral health, ICU, medical, burn/trauma, and surgical cases.
• Maintain coding productivity and quality benchmarks as per Valleywise Health policy and procedures.
