Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Inpatient Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient services. You will query providers, analyze documentation, and ensure accuracy aligned with guidelines. Remote work is allowed for several states; GA is included.

The role requires 3 years HIM inpatient coding experience and eligible CCS/RHIA/RHIT credentials, with education in Health Information Management. Training and mentorship are offered to support growth.

Qualifications

• Must have coding education with knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology and anatomy, query guidelines - Required
• 3 Years - experience in HIM inpatient acute care coding - Required

Responsibilities

• Codes complex diseases, procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10-CM/PCS per guidelines and standards.
• Queries providers per Official Query Guidelines to support documentation clarity.
• Collaborates with clinical documentation integrity and other departments to ensure accurate coding.
• Mentors and trains coders and supports coding quality and productivity goals.
• Completes special coding projects and basic to intermediate analysis using reports.
