Job summary

Amcor is seeking aTechnical leader in injection molding to drive project engineering and innovation. You will oversee machine, process and design to meet cost, timing and performance goals, with strong emphasis on part design and tooling.

The role requires 6–8 years in engineering with injection molding, and travel around 20% to coordinate with customers and plants. A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6-8 years of relevant engineering and injection molding experience.
• Experience in small-part injection molding for pharma/medical devices, child-resistant closures, triggers, sprayers, etc.
• Ability to explain implications of engineering work.
• Travel 20%.

Responsibilities

• Successfully manage and execute engineering, innovation and development projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and timelines.
• Lead design reviews with vendors, customers and Amcor plants.
• Specify and quote injection equipment and tooling.
• Interface with operations to ensure product, tooling and manufacturing meet requirements.
• Train and mentor team members and maintain knowledge of innovations.
