Job summary

Amcor, a global packaging leader, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership in injection molding, design and tooling. You will guide cross-functional teams to ensure cost, timing and performance targets are met, while developing innovative solutions for customers and markets.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 6–8 years in injection molding, including small-part pharma/medical device work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 6-8 years of relevant engineering and injection molding experience.
• Experience with small-part injection molding, especially pharma/medical devices.
• Capable of process optimization using scientific molding principles.
• Willingness to travel ~20%.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute engineering, innovation and development projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and objectives.
• Create and maintain timelines, assign tasks, and oversee progress.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery with all deliverables met.
• Lead customer relationships from a technical and design perspective.
• Lead design reviews with vendors, customers and Amcor plants.
• Provide SME guidance on injection molding projects and opportunities.
• Support plant handoff and continue development of foundational processes.
