Job summary

Amcor is seeking a senior engineer to provide technical leadership and innovation in injection molding, ensuring products meet cost, timing and performance targets. A strong background in part design, tooling, processing, materials and secondary operations is required.

The role focuses on managing engineering projects, defining scope, leading design reviews, and coordinating with customers and Amcor plants to optimize part design and tooling. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires strong background in injection molding related to part design, tooling, processing, materials and secondary manufacturing operations.
• 6–8 years of relevant engineering and injection molding experience.
• Capable of process optimization using scientific molding principles.
• Ability to explain the implications of engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute engineering, innovation and development projects.
• Define project scope with applicable teams and maintain timelines.
• Lead relationships with customers from a technical and design perspective.
• Lead design reviews with vendors, customers and Amcor plants.
• Specify and quote injection equipment and tooling.
• Work with customers and internal resources to optimize part design for injection molding.
• Deliver products for plant handoff and train team members.
• Develop foundational processes with operations and troubleshoot issues.
