Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC in the United States is seeking a Process Engineer to manage mold sampling, qualification services, and validation for new and rebuilt tooling.

You will optimize molding processes, develop Master Process Sheets, and train plant personnel while coordinating with engineering, quality, and operations teams. The role emphasizes problem solving, DOE studies, and continuous improvement across manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to understand, influence, drive and negotiate with internal and external customers.
• Strong management, communication and people skills required to influence and manage multiple resources, most of which do not report to the process engineer.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of 5 years' processing experience in the plastics packaging industry
• Experience with SPC is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Mold samplings and qualification services for new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits at the designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.
• Attend project meetings and tool specification reviews as required.
• Train salary and hourly plant personnel in technical areas as directed by corporate and plant management.
• Provide technical support to solve production issues related to machine, process, tooling/design.
