Job summary

Peraton in Austin, TX is seeking a Technical Manager to own technology planning, optimization, service evolution, and innovation across Private Cloud, Network, Mainframe, and AI platforms. This on-site role targets DIR performance and incident management in a multi-vendor government IT environment.

The successful candidate will govern architecture standards, CMDB integration, and product lists while coordinating with Security on threat remediation and maintaining current infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of infrastructure architecture and technology leadership.
• Experience with private cloud platforms and data center hardware.
• Experience in multi-vendor MSI government IT environments.
• Ability to communicate with executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single accountability for DIR performance and incident management across all technology domains.
• Provide technology planning, optimization, service evolution, and innovation across Private Cloud, Network, Mainframe, AI Platform if implemented.
• Govern the Infrastructure Reference Architecture with quarterly updates, CMDB integration, and standard products list management.
• Monitor and govern nonstandard product introduction and governance decisions.
• Coordinate with Security Director on threat remediation and security posture.
• Manage infrastructure currency, maintaining systems within one major release of current version.
• Provide technical leadership and governance across applicable infrastructure domains.
• Ensure technology decisions align with enterprise architecture, service requirements, security, and contractual objectives.
• Provide cross-domain leadership in a complex multi-vendor/MSI government IT operating environment.
