Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to lead Cloud & Infrastructure services, delivering stable, scalable environments and driving automation and DevOps excellence. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage incidents, risks, and change, and ensure alignment with business priorities and stakeholder needs.

The role requires substantial program management experience, cloud leadership, and vendor collaboration across AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

12 years of program management experience with related experience as Manager for information technology contracts.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
Strong leadership experience (5+ years) in cloud services infrastructure or related roles with a proven ability to manage teams and cross vendor collaboration in AWS and / or Azure environments.
In-depth knowledge of modern IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, DevOps methodologies, and automation tools.
Experience working with and leading organizations covering Infrastructure operations and engineering, including End point engineering & image build and patching, Network, Security, Storage and backup services, email, Communication and user collaboration tools, Video teleconference, File and print servers, Remote access, Server hosting, Monitoring.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address challenges and optimize processes.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across diverse technical and business teams.
Experience with vendor management, service level agreements, and contract negotiations.
Ability to lead incident response, risk management, and change management initiatives.

Responsibilities

Oversee and optimize cloud & infrastructure services to ensure stability, scalability, and efficiency.
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.
Develop and execute strategies that align cloud goals with business priorities and emerging tech.
Manage performance, recruitment, and resource allocation across teams.
Establish incident management, change control, and monitoring procedures to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to meet SLAs and contractual obligations.
Lead incident and risk management with root-cause analyses and mitigation plans.
Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, and finance for integrated cloud services.
Guide teams through technology changes with effective communication to minimize disruption.
Develop and present service metrics and dashboards to senior leadership for data-driven decisions.
Foster a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and standardization across cloud services.
