Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer in Austin, TX, to design secure, scalable cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructures supporting the VA mission portfolio. You will lead migrations and optimization of cloud workloads across VMs, containers, and data services, while developing IaC modules and reference architectures.

You will collaborate with cybersecurity teams to maintain continuous ATO for cloud services and ensure cost baselines and security controls are upheld, using Azure/AWS,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
8+ years of cloud engineering/architecture experience
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS production workloads
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and security baselines

Responsibilities

Design secure, scalable, resilient cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions
Lead implementation, migration, and optimization of cloud workloads
Author reference architectures and IaC modules; enforce security and cost baselines
Partner with cybersecurity liaisons to steward continuous ATO for cloud services (FedRAMP/VA CRISP)
