Job summary

Peraton is seeking a senior cloud engineer/architect in Austin, TX to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure for the VA mission portfolio. You will lead migrations, optimize workloads, and create IaC modules, partnering with cybersecurity liaisons to maintain FedRAMP/VA CRISP alignment.

The role requires 8+ years of cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS, and hands-on skills in Terraform, Ansible, Python, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field
• 8+ years cloud engineering/architecture experience
• Hands-on Azure and/or AWS production workloads

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Lead implementation, migration, and optimization of cloud workloads.
• Author reference architectures and IaC modules; enforce security and cost baselines.
• Partner with cybersecurity liaisons to steward continuous ATO for cloud services.
