Job summary

The Town of Apex is seeking an Infrastructure Inspector to lead policy-setting efforts, oversee complex work, and ensure top-tier quality control of utilities before they become Town assets.

Associate’s Degree and at least one year of experience are required; some inspector-related coursework or certifications are preferred. The role is based at 105-B Upchurch Street, Apex, NC, with a typical Mon-Fri schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and a minimum of one year of experience.
• Preference given to candidates with inspector-related coursework or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect infrastructure for residential and commercial developments for quality and compliance.
• Reviews plans and coordinates with contractors to ensure alignment with specs.
• Oversees chlorination of lines, testing, and GPS mapping as part of inspections.
• Maintains detailed project records and prepares chlorination reports.
• Represents Town standards in pre-construction meetings and public inquiries.
